The Way to Travel Back In Time Is To Capture It In Photos

We all love to look back at photos of our parents and grandparents. There is nothing more fun than sitting on the floor and going through boxes of photos of us and our siblings and cousins reminiscing about the good ole days. I have dozens of photo albums from my parents and dozens that I put together when my kids were little. Around the time that my 5th child was born in 2003 I received my first digital camera. Though I was able to take many more photos without using film and needing to get them developed, I also stopped getting hard copies of photos. I imagine I am not alone.

There is an expression, “ the days are long, the years are short”. It did not feel that way to me when I was raising six kids under the age of twelve. Now that my baby is 19 I can not believe how fast time has gone. My oldest daughter has been married for six years and has two kids and my second oldest daughter was married a few weeks ago. One of the highlights for me at her wedding was having all of my adult children there and getting them in a family photo!

I am a professional family photographer based in Columbus Ohio. I draw on my own experiences to capture the love and connection in famly photos. I know the importance of freezing this moment in time, because life moves fast, time is precious, and some day your adult children and future grandchildren will appreciate the legacy you left behind.
